Batman '66, Legacy of the Dark Knight

 

The 66 Batmobile is another set that LEGO has released in the past (set number 76188), and you’d think would be open and shut, but there’s some fairly obvious differences.

The front end and cockpit are almost identical, but the back end has been shortened, and the fins have been completely rebuilt.

Decals

The LOTDK version uses all of the stickers and decals featured in the official set:

The official Batsymbol sticker on the doors would need to be cut down but thanks to the extra black left and right should fit fine on the new 1x2 panel

The only custom decal needed would be to recreate the pinstripes on the fins:

So can I build it?

100% of the parts needed to make a LOTDK 66 Batmobile are available in the correct colors, and there’s no digital LEGO shenanigans.

The original set (71688) is a great starting point and will get you most of the way there, including the decals you would need. According to Rebrickable, there’s about 120 additional parts required to turn the official set into an accurate LOTDK version.
